Jean Dibble, a biliterate writer and translator, joined our team in March 2023 and is the first Good Fruit Grower employee dedicated solely to our Spanish-language edition. As we continue building on our efforts with Good Fruit Grower en Español, Jean will help to ensure more of our Spanish-speaking farming community can benefit from the latest research and industry information Good Fruit Grower has to offer.
Jean brings a wealth of experience to the position: She helped to launch two Spanish-language newspapers in Washington — in Yakima and Wenatchee — and has taught college-level courses in both English and Spanish. She also brings an understanding of diverse cultures, having lived extensively in six countries, most recently in China, where she taught university-level English to students. Among her other stops: Mexico, Spain and Honduras.
