\u00bfC\u00f3mo empez\u00f3 en la agricultura?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Empec\u00e9 trabajando con mi padre en empleos de verano. Despu\u00e9s del high school<\/em>, trabaj\u00e9 a tiempo completo. Me gusta la agricultura, es una experiencia enriquecedora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 hace un encargado bueno? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los supervisores deben ser claros con sus correcciones, para que la gente no tenga problemas. Hay que trabajar la comunicaci\u00f3n, ser m\u00e1s directo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1l es tu objetivo profesional?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mi trabajo so\u00f1ado es seguir en la agricultura y aprender m\u00e1s cada d\u00eda, a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o. Espero convertirme en gerente de \u00e1rea, supervisando a otros gerentes. Es importante tener un buen equipo, me gustar\u00eda ayudar a que todos podamos tener \u00e9xito juntos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Washington State Fruit Tree Association Annual Meeting in Wenatchee, in December 2025, we spoke with Alberto, a foreman for Washington Fruit Growers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting to know Alberto Acevedo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

How did you get started in agriculture?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started working with my dad doing summer jobs. After high school I worked full time. I like agriculture, it\u2019s a growth experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes a good foreman? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supervisors should be clear with their corrections, so people don\u2019t get into trouble. You need to work on communication, be more direct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your professional goal?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My dream job is to stay in agriculture, learn more, day by day, year by year. I hope to become an area manager, managing managers. Having a good team is important, I\u2019d want to help everyone succeed together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
