The University of Minnesota has announced the launch of Superior Fruit Innovations (SFI), a new licensing model designed to connect growers of all sizes with the university’s world-class fruit varieties, according to a news release. For the first time, direct-market growers — those selling through orchards, farm stands, community-supported agriculture and local markets — can access exclusive U of M apples and table grapes celebrated for their exceptional flavor, texture and color.
