  • WineVit to split into two one-day events

WineVit will look quite different next year.

The planners of the annual Washington wine industry conference have decided to switch from one multiday event, typically held in February, to two single-day gatherings with different focuses, according to a newsletter from the Washington Winegrowers Association.

The group’s education committee is still planning details, but they are eyeing one day in January 2027, near Prosser, to focus on vineyards and growing issues, then another gathering in June on the west side of the state to focus on winemaking.

Topics for January include stronger connections in content delivery, from grape growing to winemaking; opportunities for live interaction during presentations; highlighting research in creative ways; exploring emerging technologies; and networking with allied partners.

Washington Winegrowers is asking for suggestions for speakers and session topics. To chime in, visit: wawinegrowers.org/ap/Form/Fill/p50nkIxr, or email julie@waswinegrowers.org.
