The Washington State Tree Fruit Association, Washington State Department of Agriculture and Washington State University Extension will hold an Agricultural Leadership Program course in Wenatchee, Washington, starting April 28.
ALP is a comprehensive training program designed to enhance the leadership skills of farm supervisors and managers, according to a news release. The program, which is offered in English and Spanish, provides knowledge and tools necessary to effectively manage communication, coaching, delegation, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution and more. Participants must have at least two years of experience in a supervisory position.
The three-month program begins with basic courses taught by highly qualified and experienced trainers, then a mentorship plan follows. Participants will graduate with an ALP Certificate of Completion after completing the program and giving a final presentation.
