Good Fruit Grower received the following information in a news release about the 9th annual Yakima Pom Club golf tournament, scheduled on July 25 in Yakima, Washington.

Please join us for the 9th Annual Pom Club Golf Tournament

Title sponsor: Wilson O.V.S. Date: Thursday, July 25

Location: Apple Tree Resort, Yakima

Shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Annual picnic following Happy hour at 6 p.m. with drinks, appetizers and entertainment sponsored by Pom Club

Buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m. — $35 per person

Golf tournament information:

This will be a traditional, shotgun start and scramble format. Tournament fee is $400 per team, which includes greens fees, carts, driving range, swag bag and prizes. Our annual summer ‘picnic’ dinner will follow, for an additional cost of $35 per person. All are welcome!

Tournament Prizes:

1st Place: $400/team ($100/player)

2nd Place: $200/team ($50/player)

3rd Place: $100/team ($25/player)

Men’s and Women’s Long Drive: Prize TBD

Men’s and Women’s Closest to the Pin: Prize TBD

There will be recognition leading up to the tournament via our Facebook page, as well as verbal and visual recognition on the day of the tournament.

ANY sponsorship amount is greatly appreciated, but sponsorships of at least $1,000 will be given a free team entry into the tournament. We always encourage sponsorship involvement, whether it’s playing in the tournament, or setting up at a hole with company information to mingle with our members. Last year we had a record 19 teams participate! Hoping for continued growth this coming tournament!
