The Washington Apple Education Foundation, the charity of Washington’s tree fruit industry, is seeking applications for grants to programs to provide access to English as a Second Language (ESL and citizenship preparation.

Wenatchee, Wash– The Washington Apple Education Foundation (WAEF) provides grants to organizations in central Washington that provide adult education assistance to families employed in the tree fruit industry. Organizations, including community groups, religious institutions and public & private schools, assisting farmworkers/ag workers and their families attain scholastic success through access to English As A Second Language (ESL) and citizenship preparation are eligible to apply.
The grant application is now available at the Foundation’s web site, www.waef.org under the “Grants” heading. Completed applications must be returned to the Washington Apple Education Foundation no later than June 1, 2018.
The Washington Apple Education Foundation is the charity of Washington’s tree fruit industry. The Foundation was organized in 1994 to coordinate charitable activities reflecting tree fruit industry member values. Its mission is to impact lives through access to educational opportunities.
