This position manages local scientific operations and responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating appropriate tests for virus diseases, analyzing and summarizing virus testing results and identifying research and development needs for the program. The position will ensure that all work is performed using standardized operating protocols, and that procedures and results are thoroughly documented. The position will prepare recommendations for local operating budgets. This critical position will interface with the industries served by the program and to multiple regulatory agencies. Candidates will possess a Master’s degree in plant pathology and four (4) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience.
