Washington State University is part of a national team of food safety researchers working on a project to help support the produce industry in managing food safety risks, according to a news release from WSU. The project is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Growers, packers, buyers, consultants, suppliers, educators, auditors and regulators who are involved in the produce industry are encouraged to participate in an anonymous online survey ranking their top five food safety risk management areas that need improvement in the produce industry.
The survey will provide research data that will be used to guide future resource development specifically for food safety, according to the release.
Anyone involved in the produce industry who is at least 18 years of age may participate in the survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete and includes an informed consent agreement. For more details and to access the survey, go to https://go.rutgers.edu/4tuxsrdf.
The team will collect responses through Dec. 31.
