The Washington State Tree Fruit Association will hold a Spanish-language Produce Safety Alliance grower training course in Wenatchee on March 5 and in Yakima on March 6.

This one-day class fulfills the Food Safety Modernization Act Produce Safety rule requirement that produce growers have at least one supervisor or responsible party who has “successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.”

Preregistration is required. The nonrefundable registration fee of $25 will include the PSA Grower Training Manual, a certificate of course attendance, lunch and refreshments.
