The Washington State Fruit Commission announced in a news release it will hold a board of directors meeting May 17 from 9 a.m. to approximately noon at the Holiday Inn on the River, 802 George Washington Way, in Richland. The annual five-state meeting for Cherry Growers Northwest will follow.
Commission President B.J. Thurlby will report on commission business and Good Fruit Grower projects, Treasurer JoAnne Daniels will present financial reports, and a brief review of domestic and foreign market promotions will be presented.
Industry reports will include the Pacific Northwest Canned Pear Service, Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission, Northwest Horticultural Council, Northwest Fruit Exporters and Washington State Tree Fruit Association.
This meeting is open to all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age or disability.
