Grape Society President Bill Riley presented the organization’s annual awards at the Washington State Grape Society Annual Meeting and Trade Show, held Nov. 15 and 16 in Yakima, Washington.
Natural Selection Farms was recognized as the Distinguished Contributor of the year and Washington State University graduate student Katherine East was awarded the society’s scholarship.
Riley presented the Grower of the Year Award to Rick Hamman, viticulturist for Hogue Ranches.
The annual Walter J. Clore Award was presented to Gwen Hoheisel, a Washington State University extension specialist, for her overall contributions to the industry.
