The Washington State University Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service in Wenatchee announced the fourth annual tree fruit research field day. The event is scheduled Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Sunrise Research Orchard (114 Sunrise Ct. in Rock Island).
WSU and ARS staff will highlight the latest research for growers, consultants, packers, industry professionals, university researchers and staff.
Topics include: soil health, apple rootstocks, pear IPM, codling moth lures and traps, powdery mildew, computer vision analysis of fruit quality, X disease management and beneficial insects.
Participants will rotate through four stations highlighting different topic groups, allowing the opportunity for discussion with researchers and peers.
