Watts and Associates (W&A) will be conducting a listening session for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency on the impact of reduced irrigation on risk management through federal crop insurance.
W&A seeks input from stakeholders that would include farmers, insurance agents and companies, extension agents and faculty, irrigation suppliers, water board representatives, etc.
While this is an open forum, W&A is particularly interested in obtaining input on strategies to reduce the amount of irrigation water required, effects of the reduced irrigation on production, and the effects of reduced irrigation on crop insurance.
The listening session will be at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites at 4525 Convention Place, Pasco, Washington, starting at 8:30 a.m. on March 28. All are welcome.
