The West Coast Smoke Exposure Task Force unveiled a new website this week to give growers, winemakers and other industry representatives resources to contend with exposures to wildfire smoke.

The website offers information from universities, government agencies and industry groups about contracts, insurance, best practices, laboratories and industry events, according to a news release from the task force, a 5-year-old group of industry representatives from Washington, Oregon and California.

“Instead of having to search multiple websites for information, the industry can now use the WCSETF website as a convenient, go-to resource,” said Natalie Collins, president of the California Association of Winegrape Growers.

Included on the website are updated best-practices for grape sampling protocols and microfermentation and nanoscale fermentation protocols, the release said.

Development of the website was funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the Washington Wine Industry Foundation.
