Washington State University’s AgWeatherNet (AWN) program plans to debut a redesigned web portal on Feb. 15, according to a news release.
The new web portal, developed over the past year by the AWN web development team, will feature a modern platform that is compatible with multiple devices and offers enhanced features, including improved access to geospatial and station‑specific data, graphical weather displays and decision‑support models for crop, human and animal health systems. It also expands tools for private smart‑farms and allows users to create customized voice and text alerts.
To introduce the new features, AWN will host a public webinar via Zoom on Feb. 17 from noon to 1:30 p.m., Pacific. The session will include a live demonstration and an opportunity for questions and feedback that may inform future updates. The webinar will be led by R. Sanjita Bhavirisetty, AWN application systems analyst and developer.
