Registration is still open for “IFTA in the Alps,” the International Fruit Tree Association’s study tour of Switzerland, Germany and Italy scheduled for Nov. 20–28.

Growers, packers, consultants, educators and other participants will visit tree fruit orchards, packing houses and research trials during the tour, culminating in attendance at Interpoma 2026, an international trade show and conference dedicated exclusively to the apple industry, scheduled Nov. 25–27 in Bolzano, Italy.

Meeting in Zurich, Switzerland, the IFTA tour will spend several days around Lake Constance, visiting Swiss and German pome and stone fruit growers and Germany’s cutting-edge KOB Research Centre.

A drive through the Austrian Alps will bring the tour to Italy’s South Tyrol province, where it will visit orchards around Bolzano, as well as the Laimburg Research Centre’s innovative fruit production, breeding and packing research facilities.

At Interpoma, attendees will be able to attend the congress or wander the state-of-the-art orchard and packing equipment exhibits.
