David Felicetti has joined the Northwest Horticultural Council as the new vice president for scientific affairs.
Felicetti replaces Virna Stillwaugh and joins NHC from AgroFresh, where he served a role in research and development and regulatory affairs. Prior to that, he worked for Pace International in a similar role.

“Having spent the past 16 years in the ag chem business, mostly dealing with fungicides, this position seemed like a good fit. I had worked with NHC on a variety of topics and thought highly of them,” Felicetti said.
His career experience with tree fruit horticulture began at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s research lab in Geneva, New York, he said, and then he came to Washington State University in 2001 for his master’s and doctoral program.
At the top of the list in his new role, Felicetti said he is diving into several pesticide minimum residue level, or MRL, topics at the state, federal and international level.
“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues in a new position and meeting people in the industry I haven’t gotten to meet yet,” he said.
Felicetti lives in Prosser, Washington, with his family and will be based in the council’s office in Yakima, Washington. •
