    Research shows treatment controls bacterial canker and also powdery mildew.

    EXCERPT: Washington State University lab experiments indicate lime sulfur and clove oil may offer effective alternative treatments to control bacterial canker, a cherry disease showing resistance to more traditional treatments. Lime sulfur is also effective on cherry powdery mildew.
