Fire blight researchers from around the country are making progress on applied disease management and understanding of the pathogen’s biology. 

The latest findings, which includes research in Michigan, North Carolina, New York, California, Oregon and Washington, will be shared at a Fire Blight Fruit School to be held both in Wenatchee, Washington, and online Feb. 24.

Topics will include managing antibiotic resistance, managing shoot blight, pruning practices, combatting cankers, and the use of plant growth regulators and system-acquired resistance products.
