    Field staff have relied on the same tools for estimating apple maturity for decades, but new devices aim to get the same data without destroying any apples. 

    The tools used by field representatives to make harvest decisions haven’t changed in decades. That’s finally starting to shift as nondestructive sensors are becoming available for field use.
