Washington State University Tree Fruit Extension will hold a hands-on workshop covering codling moth management at the WSU Smart Orchard in Moxee on July 31 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Along with research updates, topics will include the current status of codling moth virus resistance and resistance management recommendations; cardboard banding and hot spot management for codling moth control; and best management practices for variable-rate sprayers, including a demonstration.
The field day is free to attend, and attendees can earn two Washington State Department of Agriculture pesticide credits.
