    • Washington apple industry welcomes a new processor

    California’s Manzana moves to Sunnyside, Washington, with plans to expand organic demand.

    —French apple processor Manzana Products Co. is moving from California to the former Seneca Foods plant in Sunnyside, Washington, where it plans to double production of organic sauce pouches, juice and vinegar. The company also plans to contract some acreage — eventually.
