Washington State Fruit Commission board position up for nomination, Yakima WA
One commissioner position to the 17-member Washington State Fruit Commission Board of Directors will be up for nomination during an upcoming meeting, according to President B.J. Thurlby.
The nomination for processor position No. 15, currently held by Steve Carlson, will be held during the Processed Pear Committee board meeting, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on June 4 at the W.L. Hansen Building, 105 S. 18th St., Yakima, Washington.
Commissioner positions to the WSFC board are each three-year terms. This position will end on April 30, 2028.
Written nominations, signed by five persons qualified to vote for the said nominees, may be made five days subsequent to the nomination meeting and shall be filed with WSFC at: 105 S. 18th St. #205, Yakima, WA 98901, fax (509) 453-4880. The WSFC encourages women, minorities, and the physically challenged who qualify to attend and participate in the nomination proceedings.
