    Cherry growers like platforms for pruning, training and thinning.

    —Shawn Gay, manager of Finley Cherries in South Central Washington, is one of several progressive growers who like the efficiency and quality management gained in young blocks when putting workers on platforms for winter and spring orchard tasks that can be stretched over weeks or months. The only thing they don’t like platforms for is harvest.
